MANDAL STRIKES BACK

2050- India the second largest economy in the world. FDI flowing in, SENSEX breaking all barriers, its all happening for India. Year 2006- government plans to reserve more seats in central government aided educational institutes. As it is worded, the 93rd constitutional amendment, inserting clause 5 in article 15 makes the hitherto inconceivable idea (Reservation up to 50%) possible.

Mandalising education is back in the news, with heated debates and front page articles in leading newspapers; finally UPA government has managed to make the news.
What is really horrifying about the proposal is that it has got nod from highly educated people of our society. Yes I am referring to none other than our puppet PRIME MINISTER DR MANMOHAN SINGH.
Where is India headed to when the educated people occupying the highest offices make proposal like these. True to its sense India is shining. Soon a day will come when the government would have to amend the constitution to reserve seats for general category.

The cheap Indian politics have yet again surfaced and shown its face to the world. For political reasons known to all of us the congress government has stooped down to its highest morals.

Mandal 1 saw protest nationwide. India witnessed RAJEEV GOSWAMIS self immolation bid. Will government face similar protest this time too? Has the new generation awakened? Well it is clear that the premier institutes would appeal to the President to look in to this but in a country where cheap vote politics uphold the highest stance, I am sure all efforts would be in vain.
India would truly shine. With educational institutes in future destined to find it difficult not only to place there students but to make sure that they finish there courses in stipulated time. As far as the brain drain is concerned, Indian politicians will have reasons to be proud off as India would lead the world in this foray.
